In many fairytales, the heroin awaits for her Prince Charming and then marry him without question, she never gets to meet other men, she has no other possibility… And sex is totally absent, children seem to be conceived out of pure love and thin air.
But reality is far from this simplistic vision of love and sexuality, now women can actually multiply experiences before chosing their Princes. I wanted to express this modern sexual freedom but also romance, by using the classic fairytale figure of the frog. I added a little twist to it, by transforming an apparently harmless, romantic Frog Prince into a pillbox. I designed a two-finger, Fine Jewelry ring, staging a frog set with emeralds surrounded by gems evoking waterlilies and water : emeralds, peridots, aquamarines and pink sapphires.
