Season Flower

school project

   This project was about designing several necklaces inspired by an artist's work on the plant world. I chose Emilie Simon's music video "Fleur de saison" (Season flower).

   First I imagined a Fine Jewellery necklace, showcasing each season with different colors of gemstones : shades of pink for Spring; green and red for Summer ; a gradation from yellow to red for Fall ; and black, white and red for Winter. The general shape evokes the liana spiraling around the body of the heroine in the first half of the video.

   Then I designed a necklace inspired directly by the movement of the liana around the singer in the first half of the video, very soft and curved, and later the roots, more aggressive and oppressive.
